It can effectively inhibit the melanin synthesis activity of B16V cells, and its inhibiting effect is 210 times higher than that of kojic acid. It can also improve uneven skin color and reduce skin pigmentation caused by ultraviolet radiation. Besides, it is an excellent antioxidant with better oxidation resistance than vitamin E and vitamin C.
